Helm: Requirements

PC

Helm is designed to run best on Windows XP and Windows 7 systems. Use on other Windows systems may be possible, but is not recommended. Any PC meeting Microsoft’s minimum requirements for these operating systems should be suitable for Helm use.

Supported Devices

Helm supports a range of common broadcast equipment, including routers, servers, multiviewers, channel branding systems and modular gear. An indicative list of supported devices is given in the ‘Broadcast Device Reference’ section of this manual.

Rascular are continuing to add support for new devices and these are listed on the support website. If the device you wish to control is not listed, please contact Rascular.

Device Connection

Helm can use Ethernet and serial communications to communicate with broadcast devices, depending on the device capabilities.
