This page is used to control all parameters associated with the Imagestore video keying layers.
All operations performed in this dialog use the layer currently selected at the top of the screen. If you change the selected layer, all the values shown change to reflect the new layer.
The Keyer On LED is green when the keyer is fully on – yellow means it is only partially contributing to the video. Pressing the Keyer On button toggles between fading the image up and down.
Clip, Gain and Transparency
The Keying section shows the current keying parameters for the image, including transparency and keying sources and modes. Clip gain and transparency can be set numerically, or using the faders.
Image Positioning
The image can be repositioned either by adjusting the X Pos and Y Pos numbers, or by dragging the image in the central ‘mimic screen’. This area shows a grey rectangle representing the loaded image. The size and position of this area are queried from the Imagestore.
Image Masking
If a yellow rectangle with an inner grey rectangle is shown, this indicates that the image is masked. Yellow represents the masked area. The extents of the masked area can be adjusted using the Masking controls at the bottom right.
Animation Control
Animated logos can be started and stopped from this page. For test purposes, you can also manually ‘scroll through’ an animation by using the slider in the Animation control area.
Image Loading and Saving.
You can load and save images by typing the image name and then clicking the Load or Save box. There is no warning if you try and save an image using a name that already exists.
You don’t need to enter the file extension in this box. The Imagestore will automatically locate the ‘.OXT’ or ‘.OXA’ file and this name will be shown here.
Note: V2.11 software supports a ‘preload’ function. To use this, enter the name, and then select Preload. Nothing will happen visibly on the Imagestore screen, but if you then hit Load, the Image will appear to load instantly. You must leave enough time between the preload and the load commands for the image to be retrieved from disk.
Image Load Mode
The Image Load Mode determines how the video ouput is affected when a new logo or image is loaded.
Graphical Image Selection
While Commander-IS does not include a full ‘media browser’, it does have some simple tools to examine the media loaded onto the Imagestore. To access this, click on the button at the end of the filename input box. You will then see a list of the media available in the following dialog.
When you select an image from the list on the left, a preview of the image will be retrieved from the Imagestore and shown. When you select OK, the chosen name will be left in the filename box, allowing you to select Load, Preload or Save as usual.
When using Imagestore Intuition, only the template files (*.tem) will be shown.
Swap-Preview mode
When using the Imagestore in Swap-Preview mode an extra button on the keyer page appears which performs a fade-swap between the two layers.
Note that in Swap-Preview mode, the Imagestore will not allow the preview keyer to be turned off.
Imagestore Intuition.
Miranda’s Imagestore Intuition does not offer all the same keyer controls. When using Commander with Imagestore Intuition the keyer page will appear as shown below. Note that the layer selector at the top-right now allows layers one to sixteen to be used.
Imagestore IS750
When using Commander with Imagestore 750, the layer selector will show DSK1 to DSK4.
